Fall 2020 Berkley Journey Groups
Tuesday Evening Discussion Group – Facilitated by Dale Glick, this journey group of adults of all ages will be doing as 12-week study of the Book of Acts, using a guide by Christian pastor and author, Max Lucado. Mom’s Journey Group – Facilitated by Lindsay Gursky, this group is designed for moms to be encouraged, inspired, and to grow spiritually together through devotions and lessons. There are in-person and online options. Join the Mom’s Journey Group in-person from 8:00-8:45 PM September 16 and 30, and October 14 and 28 at 2400 Robina Avenue in Berkley, just after Berkley First’s outdoor worship service. Brews and Views – Grab your favorite brew, and enter into a discussion about Scripture and theology. Facilitated by Pastor Zack Dunlap, each gathering focuses on a different topic. Dads Journey Group – Facilitated by Pastor Zack Dunlap, this new group is designed for dads to share hopes, dreams, anxieties, and more. The book Dad Tired and Loving It by Jerrad Lopes is a book that guides their conversation, and copies are available. Discipleship Journey 101 – God is calling you to take the next step toward becoming like Jesus. Utilizing the Discipleship Pathway Tool, spiritual gifts inventory, scripture and prayer, individuals will discover where they are on their discipleship journey. A Time for Prayer – Facilitated by Barb Glick and the Berkley First Prayer Team, this group gathers to lift up prayers for the church, community, and world the first Sunday of each month at 11:20 AM. Women’s Journey Group – Facilitated by Jill Brouhard and Patrice Wade-Olson, this multi-age group of women meets twice monthly to study, pray, encourage, support and do life together. Beginning September 13, the Women’s Journey Group will be discussing Sojourner’s Truth by Natacha Sistrunk Robinson.
