Have you ever wondered Why Easter Matters? This is the question we will address in each of our worshiping communities throughout the month of March during the All-Church Lent Study. Worship with us online or in-person each Sunday in March, then connect with a small group during the week for deeper discussion. We will utilize the book Why Easter Matters, by Andy Stanley. Books are not required for participation in the All-Church Study this March, as all three preaching pastors will be covering the themes in their sermons. Group leaders have been equipped with the study guide and discussion questions. Together, we will look at four Biblical stories of resilience from people whose lives intersected Jesus’ life in the weeks leading up to his crucifixion; each had an agenda that put them at odds with God and with Jesus. We may find a little bit of ourselves in these accounts as we dig into Why Easter Matters. If you have questions, contact Pastor Rachael at rdunlap@berkleyfirst.org.
